I beg to reply to your letter just received of yesterday's date, I beg to state that I was dining at the Artillery Mess on the evening of the 14th instant when Mr. Sinclair was present who stated publicly at the table that the Chief Justice was drunk, drunk, drunk, at Government House the night before, and that he considered the cloth disgraced, or words to that effect.
